From the "Common Beauty" series, this handsome billy's enigmatic smile reminds me of "The Laughing Cavalier" by Frans Hals. I've always been fascinated by goats, and this one is based on the many feral goats that roam the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.  They are an invasive species and unfortunately cause much damage to delicate ecosystems. Round his neck is draped that beautiful bane of many gardeners, the bindweed.
